I love this recipe. It’s our home recipe for banana bread. I like making it with banana that is super ripe. I wait until the banana is mushy and black. That’s the best way to make this bread. It makes it sweeter and yummier! The top is crunchy and the inside is super moist.
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon soda
1 teaspoon powder
1 & 1/3 cup sugar
½ cup nuts
½ cup butter (room temperature)
½ cup butter milk
1 cup banana (mashed)
1 teaspoon salt
a drop or two of vanilla essence
1. Mix butter and sugar together. Add eggs and mix well. Add dry ingredients into the mix, add butter milk and bananas. Fold in nuts, salt and vanilla essence together.
2. Prepare the loaf pan. I use parchment paper so it’s easy to pull out. I cut the parchment paper into the shape of the loaf pan as you can see in the photo. However, you can also butter or oil the loaf pan.
3. Place it in the oven for 25 minutes at 350 degrees or until you test the center and it comes out clean.
